reverences from
the crepe myrtle

dew diamonds 
in the grass
illuminated

by the morning sun

shy magnolia bloom

three petals

cover the stamen

Father, Son, Holy Spirit

birds waking

calling the earth

to worship

bullfrogs croak bass

tree frogs peep tenor

The sycamore

lifts its limbs

in praise

kitty regally

salutes the sun

with starburst eyes

while doggie

lies loyally by

me

as I marvel

at this blessing

given

another day

fresh

new

virgin page

on which to write

the story

of my life

Holy Spirit Maestro

then lifts

His baton

toward me,
